Hi there,

If you have correctly retrieved this code, then this relates to your transmission:

Code P0768 = Shift Solenoid D Electrical

Shift solenoids are responsible for the shifting behaviour of your transmission. This code has been triggered due to an 'out of spec' condition of this particular solenoid.

These solenoids can usually be "tapped into" (operated/tested remotely) using the manufacturer's factory scan tool, without removing or dismantling of the transmission.

I recommend you have this solenoid inspected and if definately out of spec, then the transmission fluid should be drained, trans sump cover removed and the Solenoid D 'resistance' measured.

The solenoids can usually be replaced when the sump is removed (transmission still in vehicle).

Hope this helps....

Cheers,

Code po768. Solenoid is this a transmission problems

A P0768 code means that the transmission is not shifting when the computer expects it to. Possible causes could be dirty transmission fluid (fluid and filter need changing) or simply low transmission fluid.

If your fluid level is correct and if it is clean, then it's likely that there is a problem with the shifting solenoid.

However, keep this in mind. If the error code was caused by a one time problem (e.g. towing a heavy load up a high or steep hill), it's possible the system is telling you the transmission did not shift as expected. To determine if this was an intermittent problem, you can clear the code and see if it reappears. An intermittent problem will also cancel itself after a certain number of starts if the problem is not detected again.

What code p0768 in the isuzu d max 2008 is

Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0768 is defined by SAE J2012 as "Shift Solenoid "D" Electrical".

This means that the shift solenoid (solenoid "D") inside your transmission has an electrical fault. This could be due to an electrical malfunction in the solenoid itself, or the wiring that connects it to the transmission contol unit.
