Fuel and temperature gauge, I need a replacement

could have a bad cluster

If the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge are not working, there could be several possible causes:

1. Blown Fuses: Check the fuses for the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. If any of these fuses are blown, replace them with a new one.
2. Loose or damaged wiring: Inspect the wiring for the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. Look for any loose connections or damaged wires. Repair or replace any damaged wires and ensure all connections are tight.
3. Faulty sending units: The low fuel light and fuel gauge are connected to the fuel sending unit in the gas tank. The temperature gauge is connected to a temperature sending unit on the engine. Check these sending units for faults, and replace them if necessary.
4. Faulty instrument cluster: The instrument cluster itself could be faulty, causing the temperature and fuel gauges to not work. A qualified mechanic can test the instrument cluster to see if this is the issue.

It's also possible that the trike has a separate electrical system for the tail lights, and that this system is malfunctioning. A qualified mechanic can test the trike's electrical system to determine the cause of the issue.

Remove the gauge cluster and check for a bad ground. If it is bad you can resolder the trace on the back of the cluster back to the groung pin for the connector.

Replacing a fuel pump has nothing to do with instrument cluster lights or the clock staying on. Unless you shorted wires , did you disconnect the negative battery cable before hand ?
The body control module (BCM) performs the following functions:

• Low fuel
• High temperature
• Washer fluid level low
• CRUISE

• SERVICE VEHICLE SOON
• Door ajar

• THEFT SYSTEM

Check the fuel level sensor wires , the fuel level sensor is a input to the BCM .

That's a thing you can't do alone. It needs to a qualified electrician. It maybe the dashboard has no ground. Do you have any light there? For the gauges, check the connector near the fuel tank. There should be two cables going to the tank, try to bridge them and see if there is response from the gauge. If the gauge responds, then the problem is in the tank. Replace the gauge in the tank.

• The temperature gauge is not on a fuse of its own, it would work with all the instruments, ie fuel gauge, warning lights etc. If the temp gauge does not work and the fuel gauge does,, look for the problem elsewhere such as the sender unit on the engine. A quick check is to remove the wire from the sensor unit on the engine and short it out to ground. If the gauge picks up, replace the sensor unit.
• Otherwise, check the wire itself for breaks, or bad connections.

If all voltages checked ok,then most probably its faulty instrument cluster board on which gauges are connected.Yes if cluster circuit board looks ok,then also it can be faulty.Somewhere there is minute short or burn on board then such prolem arises.
Also check the fuse box.One under hood and other under dash.Inspect each and every fuse and see if all are fine or not.

If all voltages checked ok, then most probably its faulty instrument cluster board on which gauges are connected. Yes if cluster circuit board looks ok, then also it can be faulty. Somewhere there is minute short or burn on board then such problem arises.

Also check the fuse box. One under hood and other under dash.

Inspect each and every fuse and see if all are fine or not.

pull the console out and check connections if the connections are good you may need to replace the instrument cluster.

u will need to replace the fuel gauge sending unit.
