Would the car want to turn over if the automatic shutdown sensor went out? How can we determine what system is needing to be fixed if it has something to do with car shutting down while driving?
That's the interesting part of automechanics in todays market.
Without trying to talk down to you (you probably have a 160 IQ) you need four things for an engine to work, fuel, fire, air and compression. If you take anyone of these things away then your car wont run.
So, since the car runs for a while, then we can assume that it has all of those, so that leads us to one is failing during the run. Well, air comes from the pistons going up and down drawing in air through the trottle body, so that one is out.
That leaves compression fuel and fire. Well, compression doesn't normally fail on all cylinders at one time, so we can rule that one out.
Know we have fuel and fire.
So we have to ask ourselves does it just die or does it fade out like it running out of gas?
If it dies, then I would look toward the fire side of the equation, if it fades out then lean towards the fuel side...
