SOURCE: Stuck in 5th gear

That just recently happened to me. If your stick wont move into any of the gears, then you need a clutch. But if you can shift into the gears but dont go anywhere, then you need a new transmission.

Did you bleed the system fully after changing the cylinders? Those are the two main components that cause such problems. If you bled the system out, and it still has the problem, then you most likely have a ruptured line somewhere that is allowing air into the system.

SOURCE: 1989 honda prelude s clutch

prolly a hydraulic problem master os slave cylinder leak ck your fluid takes dot 3 brake fluid , also you can put in gear hold the pedal down usually if the fiber substance is gone from the clutch disk the car will not move while cranking if the car moved then its a hydraulic problem , note to self try this with nothing in front of the car it might start up in gear if that happens you will have to immediately turn the engine key off , if the fiber is gone while running you can put trans into any gear while running without pedal inguaged , hope this helps

Wont go in gear when on it only goes in gear when car off

It's a manual transmission, then? If it is, your clutch is not working. You need to check at the transmission's bell housing to see if the clutch pedal being depressed causes the clutch fork to move-either forward or backward, it should move about an inch with the pedal pushed to the floor.. The clutch pedal will either be cable operated, or it will be a hydraulic clutch with a clutch master cylinder on the firewall, and a steel tube going down to the bell housing, where a small "slave cylinder" operates the clutch fork.

If you see the clutch fork move a fair amount, at least an inch, then you probably need a new clutch disc and pressure plate. A clutch job means removing the transmission to replace the clutch.

If the clutch fork does not move, either the cable has too much slack-for cable operated clutches, or the hydraulic unit has a problem-for hydraulic operated clutches. One of your hydraulic cylinders may be bad, either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder.

I have a 1993 honda accord, manual transmission, and it wont go into gear

Test it:

If it will go into gear when the engine is not running.

If yes, then test to see if it goes into gear when the engine is running; if no it is due to the clutch not releasing when you push on the pedal. In my experience this is due to problems with the hydraulic clutch. Check to see that the clutch reservoir Is at the proper level and fluid clean looking.

If it is not full it is likely due to a leak in your clutch system; Likely at the clutch slave cylinder at the clutch linkage to the pressure plate. Fill it and have someone push the clutch pedal for you and look for the leak to show up. If there is not leak and the fluid is full, the clutch disk may be at end of useful life.
Good luck

indicates that there is air in the system
constant movement of the clutch is removing the air but after leaving for for a period , air is again getting back in the system
Possible loose connection at the slave cylinder/bleed nipple or faulty slave cylinder

1993 F350 dually manual wont move out of neutral

Check the fluid level in the reservoir for the slave cylinder, or look underneath to find a leak. If the reservoir is empty then you need to replace the clutch slave cylinder. A quick fix is also try to bleed the clutch slave like you would bleed brakes, open the bleeeder push the pedal down and hold it until the bleeder is closed, repeat until solid fluid comes out...will take 2 people.

93 honda prelude dohc vtec engine will not can be push started

Sounds like you accidently pulled the thin wire from you starter motor. Look at the connections at the end of the solenoid, mounted on starter motor. The thick red wire is Battery + next to that connection is a smaller male push- on terminal, locate loose wire (thin) in the same area and reconnect to male push-on terminal on solenoid or check if earth cable between body/battery to engine wasnt removed in the process. Also some vehicles you have to engage the clutch before starting, check for a switch located on clutch pedal where master cylinder connects to clutch pedal (Is clutch switch mounted and wiring connected?)
