MY REAR BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING ON MY 2006 ML 350 MERCEDES BENZ AND THEY BACK LIGHTS STAY ON WHILE DRIVING

Several MB models have had tail light recalls due to bulb socket issues and overheating wire connections. It's also possible that the wrong replacement bulbs were inserted at some point. If you mean the back-up (reverse) lights are staying on, that could be due to faulty wiring or a defective backup switch on the transmission gear selector.

-Expensive car why it's already broken....? It shouldn't.

-Any way check fuse and connector.

My 2006 Mercedes ML 350 has check engine message. Sounds as if engine in running in second gear and won't change. It is also making a roaring noise.

The check engine light will come on if the transmission is in limp home mode.Have someone familiar with Benz transmissions evaluate it.We experience a lot of problems with the transmission electronics and inductive pickups mounted on the valve body.

it should be in 2nd gear your gearbox is in limp mode need to have it looked at a.s.a.p ( the oil level may low)

Check first the condition of the oil. It may be low or need replacing. When you do replace the oil include the filter as well.

I would suggest to have a scanner connected first to the car to help you accurately diagnose the problem. Some shops would let you borrow their scanners or have your car scanned for free. This is the best way to avoid unnecessary expenses for repair.

Usual cause of failure other than bad fluid are, velocity sensors that may have gone bad. A dirty or bad solenoid in the transmission and debris in the gear valve of the transmission. Other errors may cause you to be limited at certain speed and engine condition for safety reasons which may lead us back to identifying first the possible error stored at the car's computer.
