Where is the fuse box in my 2000 S500? - 2000 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes are the only manufacturer to have 8 or 10 fuse boxes :>D Don't forget the radio is also connected and monitored by the BCM.

its in the fuse box all mercs have a relay discription on top of the fuse box telling you what each fuse and relay is for well on my c180 it does hope this helps

Open the hood locate the fuse box on the passengers side near fire wall back feed 12 volts into to large fuse that is loose all by its self conected by 2 wires .I think its a 40 amp . By back feeding 12 volts into the system you can pop the trunk lid with the door switch.

check all fuses/breakers in cabin & engine fuse boxes

try to chek the brake light suitch cause it mayt be that and the gear box dot know where is .

The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook.

Check your fuse box and look for a blown fuse. Some raidos have an in-line fuse behind the raido under the dash.

Check the owners manual,which contains the fuse diagram and locations.

A 2002 S500 actually has 3 differant fuse boxes.
2 of them are located under the engine hood, they are both against the firewall in the back corners of the engine compartment. The fuse box on the drivers side of the firewall has most of the common fuses in it.
The last one is located under the rear seat. There is a access panel below the passengers side rear seat, just unclip the plastic panel from the top.
Fuse chart can be found in the rear with the spare tire tools.

It should be in the Black fuse box next to the Brake Booster. Open the lid, under it you willl see the diagram of fuses to replace. Good luck.
