could be a faulty globe too

Brake lights wont work on 1996 es300 lexus fuse is good and rear brake light in window works.

My guess would be the turn signal switch. The third brake light does not go thru the signal switch but power for the brake lights do.
You would want to check for power in and out of the multi-function switch with a meter.

98 tahoe brake lights wont turn on but everything else works i change sensor already and the same

Your brake lights are also connected to your hazards.

If your hazard button does not activate 4 way flasher, culprit is your stalker.

Just changed mine on 98 Burb......

Takes about an hour do change.

Brake lights wont turn on when the petal is pushed but the driving light work

if the third brake light works check the turnsignal switch. if none of the brake lights light i would check the fuses and than the brake light switch

COULD HAVE FAULTY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH OR BAD GROUND WIRE AT BRAKE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS.

Just changed brake pads to all 4 tires, now my brake light wont work including the third brake light, checked fuse, checked bulbs and the emergency lights work, but not the brake lights. What could it be?

Check the brake light switch that is close to the brake pedal it may be out of adjustment

Third brake light wont work checked voltage at female connector saturday had 12+ volts now .003,owners manual does not show fuse for just third brake light iam assuming #12 st/lp might be correct fuse,left...

If you have voltage you next have to have a ground please check that next,

Brake lights on a 2003 chevy silverado 2500HD wont work.

same bulb but 2 seperate elements. wiring diagram u should be able to obtain from your local auto parts store like autozone(preferred)

99 JEEP BRAKE LIGHT WONT WORK..THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WORKS

on chrysler products the third brake light is run independant of the body control module, try checking the fuses that run the brake lights and see if any are faulty if not check you have voltage at the switch and a signal getting to the lights.

There is a separate switch for the third brake light.
Put on your flashers to ensure that your brake lights are working.
Then first look on your gas pedal linkage to locate the brake light switch.

I had the same problem with my 1998 Lincoln Continental.It's the turn signal switch that's giving you your problem.On these cars some how power is sent in the turn signal switch for various lights in this vehicle.Replace the turn signal switch and this will fix your problem
