if you have no spark, did you take the cap off the distributor and crank the engine to see iff the rotor is turning?

you have to find out why it stop sparking..... maybe you need a new rotor, distributor cap, ignition coil or even timing point or a combination of all.

1989 f-250 5.0 engine cranks but won't start

  1. The ignition system on your 5.0L uses a distributor type system and will include the following components:
    1. Ignition control module (ICM). Depending on the year of your specific Ford, it'll have a inner-fender mounted ignition control module or a distributor mounted ignition control module. hot sure which you have.
    2. Ignition coil. you replaced it.
    3. PIP (Profile Ignition Pickup) sensor. This is Ford's name for the crank sensor and is mounted inside the distributor. The most common name for this component is the pick up coil.
    4. Distributor cap and rotor. you replaced
    5. Spark plug wires. you replaced.
  2. The thing to keep in mind about the ignition system is that all engine cylinders must get spark and the one thing that will stop the ignition system from creating spark on a wholesale scale is a BAD crank sensor.Have you pulled a plug then using some insulated pliers grounded it to the vehicle and turned it over to see if you have spark, that'll tell you alot.takes two people of course.Best of luck and hope this helps.

Car will crank there is no spark have replaced coil and condenser

Test the ignition system output, ignition systems can vary in configuration but operate on the same principal. Ignition systems can consist of a coil, pick up coil, crank angle sensor, cam angle sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, ignition rotor and a distributor and any variations of these components. An ignition coil is a voltage stepper coil that transforms a low voltage (12 volts) signal into tens of thousands of volts needed to jump the gap of the spark plug.

This coil is activated by an ignition module triggered by using the camshaft/crankshaft angle sensor; timing is adjusted by the PCM (computer). This primary electrical signal is generated by the PCM which calculates spark timing by using a variety of sensors including coolant temperature, mass air flow, and oxygen sensors. Go to 2carpros.com for a video on how to check this using a 12v light tool. On the engine repair section search, type, "engine cranks but will not start." If my answer helpe you, please leve good feedback. thanks

1990 Isuzu 2.6 L 5 spd. No start.. Fuel pressure is ok, not getting spark. Checked coil, ignition module, distributor, computer and coil wire. No power coming from the coil. Small voltage going into...

assuming you the coil, plugs, cap, rotor and wires are good. check the cam sensor, If you have 12 volts to the coil using a 12v light tester. The cam sensor responsible for sending info to the computer telling it that the cam is turning, then the computer tell the coil to dispurse the charge/sparks to the distributor as distributor distribute the sparks to each plugs from the rotor of the distributor. Replace the cam sensor, it tend to go bad over period of time.

I have a 1999 dodge neon with a 2.0 dual over head cam that has no spark. I replaced the coil pack, spark plugs and wires, cam sensor, and crank sensor and still nothing

Try the ignition module, most common issue when the other issues arent causing the problem. Could also be the ECU as well

2001 chrysler voyager no spark wont start

. Make sure that the distributor rotor is moving when it cranks. check the cap and rotor for cranks. If all is well then change your module inside your distributor.
