what causes my cruise controll to not work intermittenly

cruise control starts working above 50kmh, so if your under that it wont work. the cruise servo may be at fault, or I have seen battery acid leak down on the vacuum lines causing cruise not to work correctly. cruise control works off of a vacuum so without it, it wont work. if the cruise light doesn't turn on when pressing the set/cruise button intermitantly it may be the switch itself that is starting to fail

why wont the cruise control work on a 2005 ford taurus but the cruise light comes on

The first thing to check is the tail lights. The cruise control will not work if any lights are out. Changing to LED tail lights also causes the cruise to not work.

i had tried to use my cruise control on my 2002 pt cruiser and it wouldnt work what could it be

being that it is a 2002 I believe it will have electronic cruise and not vacuum power. so I would check your cruise control fuse and button. If all of those are OK, then its possible that the cruise control servo has gone out. That it the box that controls the throttle while engaged. You can find it by tracing the two cables coming from your throttle body. One leads through the firewall to your gas pedal, and the other will lead to you cruise control servo.

cruise control & auxillary power port doesn't work

Possible solution-
There is a recall on the cruise control for the 2005 model. I wouldn't use it unless the problem has been attended to by the manufacturer. It may lead to other problems in the future.
