This just started today and I have not had any problems leading up to this. I have a 2003 silhouette and while I'm at a stop I gave it the ga and it wouldn't go. I shut off the engine for a minute and started it up and it would go but then when i would slow down and then tried to speed up(like turning a corner) it would not go again. The van is in gear and is shifting normally. The engine just revvs but won't go unless I turn off andback on but just for about 5 mins.

Put the gas in the tank, let everything settle, turn key off, then back on to on position, but NOT start. Let the fuel relay engage the pump and draw some gas pressure. Give it a good minute and it'll start right up.

Try replacing the Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module. It is available at aftermarket parts stores, it is easy to replace, and it is a high failure item. Eventually, the module will fail completely and leave you with no wipers.

Have the diagnosis performed by certified transmission shop. Possibly bad solenoid in transmission.
