You don`t say what if anything you have done so far or what the problem is your having.once the wheel and brake drum is off you will have to remove the differential cover(gear oil will come out),you will have to remove the spider gear lock pin from the gear carrier by finding the locking bolt that holds it in place.with this remove DO NOT TURN THE CARRIER GEAR ASSEMBLY or you will be re-installing spider gears and shims back in and must be installed in the proper place.then push the axle into the differential and you may the C clip fall if not remove the C clip to unlock the axle and pull the axle straight out without turning it as you pull.install in reverse order.

How to replace right rear wheel seal

Remove wheel.
Remove the 4 nuts, through the axle flange hole, that retain the axle bearing and shaft into the housing. You need to use a socket and extension, for this. It may be stuck in the axle bore, but a chain may be used or a slide hammer to knock it loose.Just pull it out and the seal is in the axle housing bore.
Use a large bar to remove the seal it is a press fit so it wont come out with out destroying it! I have used the axle shaft to do this.Pack the new seal with grease, to keep the seals expansion spring within the seal lips. You will need a driver to install the seal, and a hammer ! Good luck! Check the gear lube level and replenish after the seal, and axle is installed.

Need detailed manual or assistance in replacing left rear axle seal and bearing on 2005 GMC Sierra pickup with 5.3L engine and a 324 rear end

You'll need to remove the rear end cover, remove the pin in the center pumpkin, push axle toward the center of vehicle and remove the axle clip, pull out axle. You may need a bearing puller to remove bearing.

How do I remove the rear axle to replace the seal 1996 jimmy

You will have to remove the differential cover on the rear end, in the center of the gear cluster you'll have to rotate your axle until it exposes the ends of the axle shafts, push in the axles as far as you can from the brake pad assembly area, then, there this a C clips that slips into a groove on the end of the axle, you'll have to reove the C clip to pull out the axle.

Rear axle bearings

There are 4 bolts for each rear axle. They are located behind the rear brake drums. Remove e-brake cable from rear drum and take off brake line.(carefully). I recomend draining and changing your rear differential fluid too, because if the fluid by run out of axle housing. also you should replace the seals for the axles of if you are changing the bearings. When you are done don't forget to bleed your brakes, and hooking up e-brake cable. I hope this answers your question.

4 wheel drive will not engage

Test it by setting the rear end up just barely off the ground with some jack stands and setting the hubs to lock (if they are manual). Put it in 4 wheel and try to drive away. If the vehicle does not move then very carefully have a helper check and see if the front drive axles are spinning while it is in 4 wheel and in gear while running.
Spinning axles... hubs are at issue
No spinning axles... Transfer case issue.

96 chev s-10 rearend

This is normal for an open differential. The tire with the least resistance will spin. Check your glove box options code list and look for G80, this is the option for limited slip diff.
