2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP Sedan wheel bearing problems - computer says it bad put a new one in and computer still says it bad

You car has a Powertrain Control Module or Electronic
Control Module --- not a computer

No Motor vehicle self diagnoses themselves or
says anything is bad

All it can do, is set an OBD2 Trouble Code --if a sensor
goes out of range.

You have to use the codes to diagnose a particular
system & component test what you think may be a
problem

There is a lot monitored & data stored you won't see,
unless you access the ecm with a scan tool,not a code reader

i had the same with mine. you may have interior hydrolic leakage in which case you would need a new transmission or some good type of sealent for it.

  • Make sure your new belt exactly matches the old belt demensions
  • Take a breaker bar or big rachet & release the tension on the automatic tensioner; very slowly
  • Loop the old belt around the pulleys & fan
  • Install new
