adjust the idling of the engine that you can find in the back of the engine a little higher than the idling when your ac is on. same problem I encounter before with my Honda civic sedan '94.
SOURCE: cold start problems with 1987 honda accord
I have an 87 accord manual carbureted with 200k miles on it and mine has done that ever since I got it. I've owned it for about four years now and the previous owner told me it happens. I have no idea what it means but the only problem I've ever had was when the alternator went out last summer (which I doubt is related but had similar symptoms).
Not a solution, more just commiseration.
SOURCE: I have an 89 Honda Accord lx and it idles too low
The idle speed for my 88 accord lx is 700-850 rpm for standard idle speed. The stalling is a seperate issue. When were plugs, wires, air/gas filters and distributor last checked? How long has engine been running for when you stall? Is the temprature gauge high? Any lights coming on when stall occurs? I am not a mechanic, but a DYI'er. These are common questions I am always asked when troubleshooting my Honda. :)
SOURCE: 99 accord is sputtering at 4000 RPM... and loses
if this is happening in park or neutral that is normal its called a rev limiter
SOURCE: 1987 HONDA ACCORD LX WATER LEAK
Yes, there is a "bypass outlet" coolant hose that connects from the water pump inlet pipe (metal pipe that runs from back of water pump along engine block to lower radiator hose) to the intake manifold.
I am not sure about the "black box" - not enough detail.
