You probably developed a leak in the hydraulic clutch system and are low on fluid. Check the reservoir and if it's low add brake fluid. You might be lucky enough to get it to bleed by just pumping the clutch otherwise you'll have to use the conventional method. If it's a slow leak you can just add fluid once in a while. If it leaks a lot you'll have to replace the leaking component (master or slave cylinder).

1996 Mazda MX6 Clutch pedal has no push back from floor but still shifts

I am not a mazda guy but it sounds like the pressure plate is bad. Have you check the clutch linkage to be sure something did not slip or break. If so I would be looking at the clutch pressure plate.

Clutch pedal sitting on floor/no return.

It may be the clutch assy. but before I did that I would check the cable out as it seems strange the pedal would stay on the floor even if the clutch went out. There should be a return spring on the pedal.

My clutch pedal goes all the way to the floor . Could this cause decrease in power

A clutch pedal normally does go all the way to the floor. If you can shift gear without a crunch, it is disengaging OK.

The loss of power could mean the clutch plate is worn and is slipping when engaged. There is a crude test for this. Start the engine and idle it. Apply the footbrake firmly, depress the clutch and put the gearbox in 3rd. Let the clutch out slowly. If the engine does not immediately stall, the clutch needs replacing.

My clutch goes all the way to the floor I have a standard Camaro 96 3.8

clutch pedals are suposed to go all the way to the floor , you sure you dont mean brake pedal (cus thats bad ! ) clutches should travel all the way to floor and release the "grab" of the engine about 2/3 down , this way they are more smoothly allowing shifting thru the gears and not jerking as you shift thru the gears , if clutch pedal does not start to "grab" the engines power by 2/3 off the floor and fully "grab"its power all the way up(slipping) ,and you have a hydraulic clutch (96's do) then the clutch disk may require replacement or there is a oil leak in the clutch/master/slave cylinder , look for small oil leaks from under car in area of foot pedals
clutches should be replaced as an assembly that includes , disk ,pressure plate, throwout bearing , with engine side clutch plate magnafluxed for heat cracks and any hydraulic oil leaks replaced or repaired

CLUTCH ON CITROEN C2 KEEPS DROPPING TO FLOOR AND WHINING SOUND WHEN MOTOR IS RUNNING

It jump because the clutch disc itself is good, but the clutch is not engaging-the pedal is not making the clutch engage. When it does, then you can shift without grinding, then you can shift period. Clutch pedal operates a cable or it operates a hydraulic system-they both, which ever one you have, move the clutch fork on the transmission bell housing just a bit to cause the clutch to disengage the transmission from the engine's flywheel...so you can shift, see, easy, smooth shifts, no problem, no grinding. Your clutch itself is okay, the pedal is just not operating it.

1996 nissan maxima clutch squeals pedal stuck to floor

Sound like you're going to need a whole new clutch assembly, but if the fluid level was dry you may have sucked air into the system which means that the clutch will have to be bled at the slave cylinder, just like you would brakes. The squealing sound is coming from the throw out bearing, usually when the do that it means that the bearing is frozen and cannot spin. Either way it looks like you'll be dropping the transmission to work on the clutch.

I just bought an 01 alero and on the way home i went to downshift from 5th to 4th and the clutch pedal basically fell to the floor with very little effort and stuck there,, it shifted perfectly fine up...

It's usually the clutch master or slave cylinder that is bad when the pedal drops to the floor suddenly. Check both to see which one is leaking fluid and that's your bad one.

Clutch pedal sticks to the floor; the brake reservoir was low

I believe your pressure plate is broken and at a minimum will have to be replaced along with the clutch disk.

94 isuzu rodeo clutch at the floor barely hanging on

had a recent same problem. would push the clutch all the way to floor and it still would only partially disengage causing hard shifting and forcing thru all gears. solution: underneath dash on drivers side is the clutch pedal adjustment rod. u will h ave to loosen the lock nut and then readjust the pedal. you will want the pedal to come closer to the driver (out) making the stroke on the pedal longer. now mine shifts easily. hopes this helps.
