These vehicles are OBDI (OBD one) compliant not ODBII (OBD two). Therefore, the scanner required need to be specific for Chrysler vehicles. The diagnostic connector is located above the driverside inner-fender under the hood. To retrieve codes only, turn the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON and the check engine light will flash the codes.
94 and 95 bonneville's have a odb1 system but the plug under the dash for the code reader is for odb2/. you have to get a code reader that will read odb1 and odb2 with a manufacture special plug to read them. also the computer in the 94-95 are only used in those 2 years. new one at most auto parts stores is about $100.00 cheap compared to other years. if you have lots of codes and it runs good but just turns itself off all the time it's the computer. I had to replace 2 so far one in a 94 and one in a 95.
Power for the fuel system comes from the ECU. I would start by trying to read the fault codes. If you can not get the reader to communicate with the ECU, I would replace the ECU. Warning: it is expensive. I get mine from wrecking yards.
