Sounds like you need a new ignition. If its really stuck you will have to get a replacement key and a new ignition. Usually not to expensive and any competant shop can swap it for you. You also might want to check the neutral safety switch. That is the only switch that has to do with your drive park position.

The battery in my 1998 Honda CRV works fine. Had a problem with the key sticking, now the key turns in the ignition but won't catch to start the car. Not sure what to do

Sounds like the ignition switch is worn out(or the linkage from the lock cylinder to the switch has come loose or something like that)

Car won't turn over randomly

When it will not crank, a mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the clutch safety switch, and the key switch.

After engine shampoo, engine won't start on 2001 honda crv

You got ignition system wet, remove the distributor cap and check for water, i bet you will find it wet. you will need to dry it out even by using a hair dryer to dry it out, then try to start it. i would let it run for a while with hood open to allow moisture to flow out from under the hood to avoid other components from getting wet. let me know the out come good day.

Stuck key in on position, how to remove and replace cylinder

Before you do that. Try moving the shifter a few times from drive back to park. Sometimes these switches with the transmission won't allow you to return the cylinder to the complete neutral position if the park switch doesn't engage.

WHEN DRIVING MY '97 CR-V CAME TO STOP PUT IT IN PARK BUT IT STAYED IN DRIVE HAD TO TURN IF OFF, KEY STUCK IN IGNITION HAD TO UNHOOK BATTERY, UNABLE TO GET IT OUT OF DRIVE

Could be the ignition switch. Honda issued a recall on 1997 CRV ignitions in 2002.
