Interior lights are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM)
The door jam switches input to the BCM is a door is open or closed.
You may have a door jam switch that is sticking or coroded, causing the
lights to do this, or a BCM acting up.
Remove the door jam switches and inspect. Disconnecting the switches
should make the lights to go out...Hope this helps.

Possible that the roof light switch or one of the door switches or the circuit is faulty and switches on . You need to trace by disconnection. If there is a TIME DELAY switch off then the electronic circuit can work erractically . You can remove the connections to each of the door switches to confirm which circuit was malfunctioning.

SOURCE: 2003 Chevrolet tracker has a clicking relay when car is off

try locating the relay and identify its purpose.relays have two power sources but require the delivery of ground to switch, this ground is supplied from te vehicles pcm or ecm.relay could be faulty if its a time delayed relay it may be "sticking" and not stopping the draw from power source. but keep in mind that GMs are notorious for the body control module to fail.(this module may be integrated into the PCM.but may be a independent unit{{found under drivers seat in most full size SUV and PU after 1999.}} have u attempted disconnecting the battery for about 10min.? this may reset and correct your issue.

Why does my Mercury villager keep killing its battery?

You have a Parasitic battery drain, check at night for interior lights that may be staying on, check the sun visors for sure.

INTERIOR LIGHTS WONT GO OFF. KILLING BATTERY.

Probably bad headlamp switch. You do know most have a position which turns the interior lights on even with the doors closed, don't you? If you have this turned off, but lights stay on, replace the switch.

2009 caravan manual liftgate is down and latched but "gate" warning light on and interior lights stay on and will kill the battery. Where is the problem?

The lift gate activates a contact. This contact must be integrated in the frame of the lift gate. The contact does not switch.
Either it has to be adjusted (mechanical in right position) or it is defective, then you have to replace it.

Do you have a dimmer switch for interior lights and dash lights that is turned all the way on? You may also be able to turn them all the way off. My chrysler is a van and the dimmer switch is a wheel that rolls vertically.

Have replaced battery, starter, solenoid - now 3 weeks later it won't start again. my odometer flashes on and off - could this be my computer going bad?

Check for something draining the battery. It could be something like a switch on an under bonnet light or boot light sticking
