How do I fix and 97 GMC 1/2 ton with a 350 vortec. Runs great once running. Sat for 5 years. If sits more than 5 minutes wont start without shot of starer fluid

have you changed the fuel filter and emptied the gas tank and put fresh gas in? Stale gas will not start as well as fresh gas and there could be water from condensation in the tank.

My 1991 GMC with a 350 V8 is hard to start. Runs ok once started.

check fuel pump for proper pressure....Also very common is a bad o2 sensor not allowing enough fuel.

I think the fuel pump went out on my 93 GMC 1500 truck.

try changing the fuel pump. When the tank goes empty it sucks the dirt into the lines.
