SOURCE: I HAVE A KNOCKING NOISE

Hi DAVIDHAMMER,
My name is Dennis
and I'm sorry to tell you this but you should check your constant velocity universal joint in the front wheel for wear or failure. If this knocking gets severe that is more noticeable when you turn your front wheels to the far end of travel you may have an expensive problem and this is normally fixed at the dealership.
please rate the solution because i will learn from your rating. Thank you

SOURCE: 99 PASSAT KNOCKING NOISE

If you drive rough roads regularly, you may have a blown shock absorber. You can test it to get a little idea of whether this has happened by using an oldtimer's method that isn't very precise but can help:
From the front of the car, cause each side (one at a time) to bounce by pressing then letting go repeatedly on a fender. When you let go, do it at the bottom of the bounce and note what the fender does. If it rises once, falls, then stops, it is probably OK. If it kind of fades away, then the shock isn't having any influence on it and must be replaced. I should say both should be replaced; never only one.  As warned, this isn't an absolute test but you can get some kind of a feel for the shocks this way.

SOURCE: Loud knocking under drivers right foot

You may have pick up some debris on the road and it has wrapped around your front drive axle. That's honestly all I can think of as long as there are no other changes in the operation of the vehicle.

Have a shake and/or shaking sound at about 100kms / hour, some clunking noises while driving on irregular road surfaces

If you feel the "clunking" noises thru the steering wheel, look to the shocks and/or struts. Check the towers for wear and if they have worn out the bushing(s). Normally if you have a tie rod end going it wont make any noise, you just wont have the control you may need to keep the vehicle from those unexpected and unwanted lane changes!!

Knocking noise around the front passenger wheel area!?

Do you feel it in the steering wheel? if so it could be the intermediate steering shaft. If not it could be a sway bar link or bushing.

Altima is thumping under the car.. i feel it under my feet when i drive.. sounds like something is going to fall off

I can't pin point the exact problem without a little bit of help. If you hit a bump and the noise started then you will need to jack the front of the vehicle up either all the way, or one side at a time and once you've done that..................grab your entire wheel and tire at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock position and push in and out on both sides (take note if you hear the noise) after that grab at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position and do the same except lift up and down as well as try to rock it. If you hear a similar noise let me know and I can instruct you further. The reason for all of this is because you may have damage a suspension or steering component which all make common noises. You have ball joint, tie rods, axles, shocks, and the list goes on. Sorry for the long post, but gotta narrow it down.

Why is my steering wheel loose? Does not turn well with tires and theirs a knocking sound whenever I turn the wheel.

I would not recommend driving this until it gets checked out, based on what you're saying.
That vehicle should have power steering. Check to make sure it has sufficient power steering fluid in the reservoir.
If there's a knocking sound when you turn, it could be a problem within either the steering mechanism or any number of things that warrant getting checked out.
It's not fun going down the road in a vehicle that size, and having your steering go out completely on you.

When i"m driving my volvo

Is the knocking a regular rhythm that is proportional to the speed of the car? Driveshaft center bearings generally drive you crazy with buzzing and grinding before they get to the point of knocking, but I suppose that is possible. Drive shaft and rear end bearings would not make noise as you start the car, however.
Is the knocking related to road surface or braking, and is it directly below your feet? If so, it is the control arm bushing. That part is bolted to the bottom of the car directly beneath your feet and it will knock when the rubber part fails and crumbles out. This is common on a car this old, but this part also would not knock as you start the car.
A knock when you start the car is more likely the exhaust pipe hitting the bottom of the car. This can happen if a bolt is missing from a hangar, or the pipe is bent, or an engine mount is broken. The engine mount on the passenger side is the easier one to see from the top, and is usually the one that breaks first, as I recall. I always suggest that engine mount replacement be left to professionals. That job is a good way to loose a finger.
Be sure and check the bolt in the bracket right at the rear of the engine. For some reason, this one works loose and the bolt falls out. You have to crawl under the car to see if that bolt has fallen out.
Another suspect is the transmission mount. Does the shifter move as you step on the gas and let off the gas?

Loud knocking under drivers right foot. Cant see anything under the car everything looks good. But can feel knocking agains foot when driving. Even when stopped at light can fell some kind of knocking and...

It sounds like a broken motor mount.
It may be a "lost" motor mount screw / nut.

Symptom? It probably makes more noise/thump when you make a sharp turn to right or left.
Also when you "rev" the engine...

Hope this helps!
