Once tire is off there should be two torx oor allan key bolts behind the caliper, unbolt until able to get caliper off. then using a hammer gently tap on the back of the rotor should come off

0n my 1989 chevy s10 pickup the brake lights do not go off when i brake, also the right blinker does not blink... We changed the bulbs but still have no clue on what's wrong... Any suggestions?

may be you should make a diagnostic and you can do it in a garage or you can do it by yourself if you want to do it by yourself you need some tools and you can find some good ones here: chinasinoy.com

97 Chevy S10 rear end squeek that goes away when brakes are applied

If you have rear disc brakes, one of the rotors could be warped and causing the pads to move in the caliper.
You should be able to remove one wheel at a time, lock down the rotor with the lug nuts, and put the trans in low gear or reverse to listen for the noise.

Need a wiring diagram for a chevy s10. brake

your power starts at the brake light fuse, check with a test light, then proceed to stop light switch on brake pedal under dash, one wire will be hot when when you check it with your test light, the other won't be until you press down the brake pedal then the power flows through to the second wire,if no power to second wire replace switch,if you have power remove tail light bulbs and check for power in side socket.

My third brake light dosen't work on my chevy s10 94'

I had a similar problem with my 1994 S-10 LS extended cab. Both tail brake lights worked fine. I removed the 3rd brake light cover and tested for voltage at the steel center of the two rivets and found the positive (driver side) negative (passenger side) were good. I checked the two metal strips that send power to bulbs and found the positive side was open. Seems the flared side of the rivet was not making contact with the metal strip. I bucked the rivet with a punch and hammer and it took care of the problem.

Chevy S10 Pickup Starter. Removed the two bolts

Just changed a starter in a 94 S10 4x4. The only way to remove the starter was to take the passenger side exhaust manifold off and bring the starter out that way. Installation the same in reverse. Hope this helps. Don

1992 chevy s10 pickup

the brake switch just pushes into the holder...its under the dash if you follow the brake pedal up toward the bottom of the dash you will see it touching the metal above the brake pedal pad.
