When the light comes on while driving does it shift funny?
You may only need a TCR (transmission Control relay).
and it is also likely a wiring issue to the tcm or the tcm relay, check the speed sensors as well, I've fixed 100's of those at the dealer!

You probably picked up some "trash" in the tank. There is a screen at the pump intake inside the tank that may have collapsed or become clogged. The fix for this? Pull the fuel pump, clean/replace the screen.

1996 Ford Taurus is heating up really quick if driven 5 - 10 minutes over 60 mph

If water pump is old, like over 70,000 miles on it,replace it when you do the fan belt and tensioner.
A new thermostat and a radiator flushing might also be in order. don-ohio (:^)

2004 chevy cavalier wouldnt start replaced fuel pump, filter, checked fuse and relay . Started up drove about 20 miles then went out to start it and wont start fuel pump not pressurizeing

Check your O2 sensors. They will give that affect and work only when your engine heats up. If the car cools down and starts up again, that is a sign that your O2 sensors are shot. Replace them.

The display reads 14 mpg how can is be in proved?

You cannot rely on these mileage displays. To know for sure fill the fuel tank up and write down the mileage on the vehicle at that time. Drive the car until you have 1/4 fuel in the tank. Fill the tank and note the amount of fuel it took to fill it up. Divide the gallons necessary to fill it up into the miles driven since the last fill up. You now know the mpg the car got. Example: You drove 300 miles and the car used 16 gallons of fuel. 300 divided by 16 equals 18.75 mpg.

1995 Mitsubishi Diamante is overheating. Oil pressure light came on - oil was low 2 quarts. Added oil, drove down the street, temp gauge went to Hot. Let car cool down. Drove home, check engine light came...

something is strange here thats for sure ,firstly take thermostat out and put it in a saucepan of water and boil it to see if opens .,check the oil light switch and pull the rubber boot cover back to see if any oil is behind it ??.-You are buying trouble with a car with such a high mileage on it ,never buy anything with more than 50,000 miles or you are just buying someones rubbish

1995 toyota camry-stalling out when driving

You do not have to replace the fuel pump at a specific mileage.
I hate to speculate without physically inspecting the vehicle, but, my best solution here & now may be the fuel pump. Now, I would not go out & buy one before you had proper diagnosis. Here is one test, but you will need to have to experience the stall again, and then test to see if you have fuel pressure at the injectors. If you have no fuel pressure, replace the pump. Fuel filter issues do not "come & go", they stay, and your car would not run properly. Also, a fuel pump failure will not set a computer code on this particular model vehicle. Hope this helps..
