You will need to take of the plenium and then the injectore rail and then the intake. It is about a 5 hour job straight through if you know what yopu are doing. Can I ask why you are changing it?
Directly in the middle of the V of the V6. It is under the intake plennum and many parts have to be removed to access the sensor. I have attached a picture. Thanks, Please accept
YES IT IS Under the lower intake manifold... the entire manifold must be removed which is a 2.5hr job... and you will see it on the engine block itself
A knock sensor going is usually indicated by pinging/rattling noise from engine especially when accelerating up a hill or just giving throttle but not kicking down a gear. Not sure what your asking about transmission?
