Hi i have a golf gti turbo w reg which in the wet the car is dangerous when you try to turn ie roundabouts the car looses control the back end spins out not due to speed i have to literally drive about 5mph around any corner or roundabout to prevent the car from loosing control its very danderous and already i could of had a major accident which could of seriously hurt my kids that was inside the car at the time but due to good driving i avoided it but the car is faultless in the dry please please help

Hi,if you want to make sure its your airflow meter,get a buddy with the same car and just test his in your car..(A.F.M is situated on the left,behind your battery is the filter box,the pipe connecting to the box is where it sits)

check the shifter as it should have the reverse contact in the console, if the shifter has some play in it then the contacts for the switch could have become damaged.. good luck

If as you say....Nothing is happening at all when you turn the key, you appear to have one of two problems. A faulty starter motor--or--- A faulty ignition switch. If you can tap the starter motor while another person keeps the key turned to the start position, and the engine now starts you now know it is a starter problem. When doing this PLEASE MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF GEAR.
If it should start up, or even engage the starter motor while IN GEAR, serious injuries could happen, and I do not mean to your car.

a GTI has to have turbo and intercooler to be called a GTI.
So, all GTI's have turbo

• It has a black connector by the cylinder head. Follow the radiator hose.
  
• Before doing anything make sure the engine temp is cold.
• Release pressure from reservoir by cracking the cap open.
  
• Jack the car up and place on stands. Place a wide catching device right under the lower radiator hose.
  
• There would be a valve you can open and close to evacuate the coolant from the system for servicing.
  
• Pull the horse shoe lock from the sensor and replace new o-ring together with the sensor.
• Reverse procedure when you are putting it back together.
  
• Only use 50/50 Filtered water and VW G12 anti-freeze
  

You blew the clutch cylinder or the related slave cylinder.  Refill with brake fluid and check for leaks and remember to bleed out the air.

everywhere i look loads of gti's are cuttin out. mine did.it would cut out for no reason and the dashboard lights would come on. changed dizzy n no joy so i found out that if i replaced my relay fuse(number 31 on ure fuses) it stopped cutting out. i got my part from vw dealer and costs £13! its never ever cut out since and that was at least 6 months ago. hope this helps.

It may be the fuel filter try having it replaced
