I'm getting codes po134 and po130 and knock sensor no continuity ,the wiring is good leading to the pcm and 02 sensor is brand new,and it has continuity. the last resort would have to be having the computer replaced which I don't feel is the problem, also its strange but when I erase the codes the trac off light which comes when I start the engine turns off when the codes are erased,so I' trying to figure how the two are related.here's a article I found which might has some information on it,"And when it's in this 'open-loop', ultra-rich state, it can't operate the Traction control (which woks by temporarily leaning the FI to reduce engine power and slipping tires)."

Too often sensors are replaced when in fact they are doing what they are suppose to do, report back to the PCM. A good diagnostic scan can capture what is going on in real time and help determine what steps need to be taken to correct the problem.
Here is a brief example of how 02 sensors work.

The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies a bias voltage of about 450 mV between the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) high signal circuit and the HO2S low reference circuit. When measured with a 10 mega ohm digital voltmeter, this may display as low as 350 mV. The oxygen sensor signal varies from about 800 mV when the exhaust is rich, to about 50 mV when the exhaust is lean.If the HO2S 1 voltage remains at or near the 450 mV bias for an extended period of time, DTC P0134 is set. If the signal amplitude of HO2S bank 1 sensor exceeds the no activity (P0134) thresholds but will not allow closed loop operation, DTC P0130 will set.
If the HO2S 1 voltage remains excessively low for an extended time, DTC P0131 will set.
If the HO2S 1 voltage remains excessively high for an extended period of time, DTC P0132 will set.
During the monitoring period, the PCM counts the number of times that a rich-to-lean and lean-to-rich response is indicated and adds the amount of time necessary to complete all transitions. With this information, an average time for each transition can be determined. If the average response time is too slow, a DTC P0133 will be set.
If the HO2S 1 voltage remains at or near the 450 mV bias for an extended period of time, DTC P0134 is set...it's possible all you need is a reflash of your OBD.

One other note, a defective cat converter will also set a downsteam O2 code.

Verify you changed the correct O2 sensor. Bank one sensor one is in front of catalytic converter and is in the exhaust pipe of the cylinder head that sits the most forward from the other. A quick check is to swap both upstream sensors and the codes will follow to the other side. You didn't list what car, year , engine etc. or I could be more specific

Where does wire from crank sensor connect in an unidentified vehicle?

In a modern car, the crankshaft sensor serves only as an anti-knock sensor. When engine knock is detected the crank sensor sends its signal directly to the PCM. power control module. The wire from the sensor will undoubtedly lead through the firewall and into the PCM. If the wire has broken and you are trying to find the end, I would invest in a repair manual, Haynes has good manuals, with complete wiring diagrams. So the short answer is the wire goes to the engine control computer, the computer uses the signal to time the spark. When the engine knocks, the computer will slightly retard spark timing attempting to stop the knock. If the knock continues, the computer will light the check engine light and cause it to blink, indicating that engine damage is imminent.

2003 Escalade 6.0L AWD p0327 code replaced both knock sensors and harness. Cleared codes 10 miles later light came back on p0327. What do i look for now?

  • Verify the resistance of the knock sensor (compare it to factory specs)
  • Inspect for broken/frayed wires leading to the sensor
  • Check the wiring and connections leading to/from the knock sensor and PCM/ECM
  • Verify proper voltage is reaching the knock sensor (e.g. 5 volts)
  • Verify proper grounding of sensor and circuit
  • Replace the knock sensor
  • Replace the PCM/ECM

Diagnostic Trouble Code 332 JEEP LIBERTY ? WHAT IS THIS ?

2005 Jeep will be OBD II compliant and the trouble code(s) will be 4 digits after a P,B or U. Are you sure you wrote it down right?
For example P0332 for your car is Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)

Potential causes for a P0332 DTC include (but are not limited to):

  • The knock sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
  • There is a wiring open/short/fault in the knock sensor circuit
  • The PCM/ECM has failed
Possible Solutions
  • Verify the resistance of the knock sensor (compare it to factory specs)
  • Inspect for broken/frayed wires leading to the sensor
  • Check the wiring and connections leading to/from the knock sensor and PCM/ECM
  • Verify proper voltage is reaching the knock sensor (e.g. 5 volts)
  • Verify proper grounding of sensor and circuit
  • Replace the knock sensor
  • Replace the PCM/ECM

8/2009 computer programming failed, threw a rod and I replaced the engine in my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. No failsafe mode apparently. I replaced both front O2 sensors and installed a new computer and had...

Nissan TSB Reference # NTB02-015 (in canada). Might be a similar TSB in the US-also this;

moz-screenshot.pngmikemt.png

It does sound like it is an electrical problem, possibly in a harness (damaged) or the ECM had major issues that a reflash could not overcome.

P134, p0141, po300, po130 and po135. 2005 Sunfire.

Given that most of the trouble codes are for the O2 sensor, I think I would change it. The multiple misfires could be because of improper fuel/air mixture caused by a bad sensor. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal then change the sensor. Disconnecting the negative(-) should reset the computer and allow the fuel/air mixture to return to default allowing the engine to start.
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0134 - O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

How to fix po134 sensor

O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 1 Sensor 1

the bank one sensor is either disconnected are faulty.

the bank one sensor is the sensor in the exhaust of the rear cylinder bank of the engine cylinders 1,2,3, the sensor is the one before the catalytic converter. U will need an O2 semnsor socket to remove it or in some cases a 7/8" open end wrench will do.

Trouboule

A P0325 refers to the knock sensor electrical circuit, not the sensor itself! So check all wiring & connectors leading to the sensor, back to the PCM. Good luck, I found a good P0325 article here - http://www.obd-codes.com/p0325
