Idol is controled by the computer. You need to run a diagnostic on the vehicle to determine what sensor is going bad. My best guess at this point is throttle position sensor or erg.
If a car has been sitting for that long then the battery is going to be bad 90% of the time. Get a new battery and put some fresh gas in and you will on the road,.when you go to the parts store have them check the old battery to make sure but I bet that it is bad.
it is a problem w/ignition wires put a NEW not used set of wires and it should run fine even after you dry old wires the problem that you have will not go away had the same problem with 850 turbo NEW IGNITION WIRES should solve your problem
