1995 volvo 850 t5r will not idle

I picked up a volvo that was sitting for six years, the car runs fine once it warms up but it will not idle, and the check engine light stays on and the service light flashes does anyone have any solutions

Check the PCV System for leaks. IPD has the system in stock and cheaper than Volvo. This is a very common problem.

Get the code reset then run the car and read the code with a volvo scan tool ,run out all old fuel 100% and the refill and add some techron

Idle speed for my volvo 850 too low. needs turning up slightly? when i start the car the idle revs are too low and car cuts out. but when its warmed up idling is fine.
Idol is controled by the computer. You need to run a diagnostic on the vehicle to determine what sensor is going bad. My best guess at this point is throttle position sensor or erg.

If a car has been sitting for that long then the battery is going to be bad 90% of the time. Get a new battery and put some fresh gas in and you will on the road,.when you go to the parts store have them check the old battery to make sure but I bet that it is bad.
