Drive a 99 plymouth grand voyager expresso 3.3l flex fuel here is the problem. it has a rebuilt tranny that's less than 9mos old had the van one month drove fine now the first 20 minutes the speedometer goes crazy jumping all around and the tranny can't decide what gear to go into. i changed the speed sensor but not the input or output sensors. after 20 min driving EVERYTHING runs fine. shifts like a new van and the speedometer works fine. wondering if I should do the input output sensors or jump straight to the TCM.

The output shaft sensor is where the TCM gets its info. And what the speedometer runs off of. It is best to have a diagnostic ran on this first. But shooting from the hip, I would go for the output sensor.

The cruise control is controlled by the ECM. Which is getting info from the speed sensor also, The ECM also sends this info to your speedometer. With this being so erratic, The ECM wont set the cruise. Even when it settles after 20 minutes, there is still a fault. Most likely when the speedometer issue is fixed and all codes reset the cruise should start working again

about how long should this take? Did a brain kill and all service lights off but cruise still doesn't work.

My 98 plymouth voyager expresso 3.0 flex fuel will not go into gear. trans fluid is good. what can it be?

With that model of Plymouth it is likely auto transmission needs a service. I am assuming you have auto transmission. Need to press the brake pedal before you can shift to D. But if the lever is not moving at all then solenoids could have gone. Go to a transmission specialist for Plymouth voyager.

1997 grand voyager stalls in reverse

my 97 Plymouth Grand Voyager used to stall when I backed out of my driveway and would also stall comming to a stop light or stop sign. Remedied it by replacing the EGR Vacuum Valve little black round disc looking thing that attaches to the intake located just to the left of the brake fluid resevoir (three vacuum lines and an electrical connector holds it in place) Yw Kevin C. Transmission went out in a Plymouth Voyager Van 1999 is it worth fixing

A rebuilt tranny with labor will cost you @ $2500 to $2700. Did the tranny fail or possibly did the differential pin drop out? If the pin dropped out this repair will be @ $600.

I hope this may have assited you,
