My engine light is on my 03 chrysler concorde, the code came up as speed sensors, is this easy to fix?
You can access it from the driver side wheel well. You should jack up the driver corner of the car if you can to have some extra room. You then need to remove the plastic cover which in front of the wheel and covers the battery. If you look straight through to the transmission you will see a tan colered sensor on the side of the transmission which is towards the front of the car.
You just have to take the electrical connector off and then unscrew the sensor from the transmission. You may need to take the wheel off to have enough room to work. It's really very easy and you just need a wrench. Make sure to remove the one towards the outside of the car, not the inside, if you are looking for the output speed sensor. Then, just plop the new one in there and clip the wires back on. I did not even have to clear the engine codes, the light went off by itself after driving it a few times.
The new sensor was only $20-30 from the Chrysler dealership. Good luck!
