Instructions
    • Open the hood to access the battery on the driver's side of the truck. Disconnect the battery with a socket wrench.

    • 5Unscrew the hanger bolts holding the drive shaft in place with a socket wrench. Pull the drive shaft out of the back of the transmission. Let the drive shaft rest on the ground.
    • 6Unbolt the starter at the front of the engine with a socket wrench. Unbolt the wiring from the starter with the ratchet. There will be two wiring harnesses to remove.
    • 7Unscrew the transmission cooler fluid lines with a line wrench. Ensure both lines are disconnected.

2001 ford taurus output speed sensor ????

I'm a 42 year old woman and I replaced the output senor on my 2001 Ford Taurus. I was able to locate the sensor right below the right side of the dip stick and disconnect one side of the sensor by reaching down. To disconnect the other side of the sensor that was located on the top of the transmission that was covered by a steal cap. I was able to locate the other side of the sensor by looking down towards the angel of the dip stick tube and look on top of the transmission and saw the silver cap. I use a 8mm socket to get the screw off. I unscrew the nut by getting under the vehicle sliding under the vehicle on the passenger side to the right side of the transmission pan. I then reach both of my hands up and over the transmission to unscrew one nut with a 8mm socket that was holding down the steal cap and sensor. If you have long arms you might be able to reach down towards the angle of the dip stick hose that travel towards the transmission and looking on top of the transmission and unscrew and pull the sensor out. I hope this help.

How do you check transmission fluid on 2002 lanrover freelander?

Let the car run for about 10 minutes. You have to crawl under the car and locate the hex bolt on the transmission. You will need a 5 millimeter hex to unscrew it. If fluid comes out when you unscrew the hex bolt, then you are fine. If not then you need to top it off. Use LRN402 transmission fluid.

There is a big nut that you have to loosen by the pump. this is a lock nut. then you can unscrew the sensor. if there is no room to unscrew it, you have to remove the pump. some times it is easier to remove the bracket the pump is on.

Hi,I have a 1998 bmw 328 sport and need to know how much oil is required to fill the engine from empty(do an oil service) and also how to top up auto gearbox oil?

fill engine on flat surface, then read the dipstick.

Transmission: raise car. Run car to normal oper temp. while running unscrew top access trans fill screw. nothing should come out. fill it till it does....it is now full.

For dummies: No, there's no trans dip stick. No, unscrew the top access plug while cold and not running....most of it will drain out.

For flat out stupid people, those with an IQ of room temp on a cold day: Take it to jiffy lube so the car doesn't fall on your head and crush it.

I need to know how to change my air filter

While looking at the engine, there is a plastic box in the front with 2-3 screws. Unscrew this and remove this plastic box. There you will see your air filter, take it off and replace. Replace the plastic box and done. 1 option is to unscrew the hose clamp attached to the box, will just give you more room is all. Very easy, should take 5 minutes.

My engine light is on my 03 chrysler concorde, the code came up as speed sensors, is this easy to fix?

You can access it from the driver side wheel well. You should jack up the driver corner of the car if you can to have some extra room. You then need to remove the plastic cover which in front of the wheel and covers the battery. If you look straight through to the transmission you will see a tan colered sensor on the side of the transmission which is towards the front of the car. You just have to take the electrical connector off and then unscrew the sensor from the transmission. You may need to take the wheel off to have enough room to work. It's really very easy and you just need a wrench. Make sure to remove the one towards the outside of the car, not the inside, if you are looking for the output speed sensor. Then, just plop the new one in there and clip the wires back on. I did not even have to clear the engine codes, the light went off by itself after driving it a few times. The new sensor was only $20-30 from the Chrysler dealership. Good luck!
