The cabin air filters are located in the heater box above the lower panel, mounted below the glove box.drop the plastic panel, 3-7mm screws, then you will see a black access panel, with 1 screw holding it up. the 2 filters are located there. Good luck...
The cabin filter is located under the passenger side dash, some trucks have lower covers so you may have to remover it, the cabin filter door is at the end of the heater core case. when you change the filter be sure to watch which direction it came out.
I can only advise you as to the replacement of a 2002 Sierra, under the dash behind the glove box compartment is a plastic panel held on with four screws, remove this panel and the cabin air filter should be easily identified and replaceable, if you purchase a filter from an Auto Zone Auto parts store or a similiar parts store, they will advise you of whether your vehicle is equipped with the filter/filters and also where its location will be.
Some vehicles are equipped with (two) cabin filters, and also I am told that if you purchase an OEM part(Original Equipment Part) instructions are to be included in the box to further assist you.
Hello roesusie: My name is Roger and I will answer for you. In 2003 GMC did not put a cabin air filter in the 1500 or Denali trucks. There is no openings in the heater case for a filter. Some one would have to physically cut the heater case to install it. Sorry I could not give you the answer you wanted. Should you need further help please just ask.
