The A/C needs to be serviced by a certified volvo tech or some one who know's a/c very well it can be just low charge or the speed sensor on the compressor.

Sat for 3 years running when we stopped driving now it wont restart. chkd fuses, relays, b

Fuel is probably stale. Pump or pump relay might be stuck.

I suggest you check the fuel delivery to the fuel rail. If no delivery the pump isn't working and the supply should be checked and then take the appropriate action depending whether the supply is good or not.

Jeep cherokee when in drive, front right under the hood clicks and the RPM's kick for about 2 seconds this cycles about every ten seconds.

its hard to say is your ac compressor kicking on i need more details on where the clicking is coming from ac compressor is a guess due to it raising rpms when turned on and makes clicking noise turning on and off

2004 ford expolorer air conditioning will not stay on

I would suspect the AC compressor cycling switch (located in low pressure line from compressor) or a AC cutoff wide open throttle relay ( in under hood fuse and relay center) would be causing this problem.

Compressor and fans do not turn on until rev engine

I passed this question the first time I read it, so I will take a stab at it now.
The fans don't come on until the compressor has pumped the freon pressure up to say 150 or 200 psi. And the compressor clutch has to have voltage to engage the clutch.
I wonder if the clutch is going and needs 14 volts instead of 12 to engage ? Or the relay that powers the clutch ?
Speeding up the engine would increase voltage from the alternator.
This is assuming the serpentine belt is tight and everything else is working correctly.
I think I would swap the relay with another and put a meter on that circuit to the ac clutch to see what it takes to engage it.

The air conditioner for my 2001 volvo v70 turbo will shut down periodically while running in hot weather or when running while the vehicle is stopped (traffic) for an extended period. Shutting the AC off,...

There may be a restriction in the plumbing of the air conditioning system that is making the high side pressure too high, thus shutting off the a/c for safety reasons.

Or, the refrigerant pressure on the low side is too low, caused by not enough r134a refrigerant in the system.

2001 dodge stratus clutch wont turn on

i presume it was recharged by a certified hvac tech, then take it back that should still be under warranty, otherwise check your a/c relay hvac /fan fuse control circuit, with car engine turned off switch on ignition, but dont start, you should hear a click from the clutch magnet on the compressor, and if possible check for 12volts d.c. at clutch wires lack of voltage wont let comp operate, then it needs to be diagnosed from clutch back thru to fuse/relay panel

Ac works at first then stops cooling. turn it off for 10 min and it cools 5 min when turned on

start with having the pressures checked, sounds like your compressor is cycling off due to low pressures...

1998 Volvo V70 A/C Intermittent

I had exactly the same problem. When your engine is cold and off check the gap on your ac compressor with a feeler gauge, it should be between 0.3 and 0.5mm. If it is larger you need to re-shim which invloves undoing a nut on the end off the compressor and removing the clutch plate, then removing the appropriate shims (look like washers) then replace. The reason it blows warm after 10 minutes or so is because the ac compressor gets hot and the clutch gap gets too large for the electro-magnetic clutch to engage. Some people would say that you need a new compressor but all you need to do is a re-shim.
