When driving my buick riviera, made a left turn, heard grinding noise when trying to accelerate, car would not accelerate over 30mph, rpm would shoot up and the grinding noise from the front of the vehicle would get louder. Ant clue what this could be?

Do you recall previously hearing a CLICKING sound when you'd make a left turn?

Only while accelerating, until the car warmed up then it went away.

SOURCE: 1995 Buick Riviera SC: traction and the security light

traction switch is located next to drivers left knee on bottom of dash....you should be able to turn off the traction light there by just turning on the traction control.....the security light is telling you that there is a problem with your security system....could just need a new key with a new computer chip....make sure the key is clean and dry when using so it can read the chip....the security light comes on whenever your start the car and stays on for approximatley 2 minutes and then should go out....it is just a reminder....try this and see if it works....lock the door using the power switch on door.....close door and see if the security light comes on....watch and it should go out after about 2 minutes...if it does then your alarm is activated and working....to disarm you need to unlock the driver door with the key...anything else will set the alarm off and the lights will start flashing and the horn honking...after you set the alarm off you will always have to use the key to unlock the drivers door to turn off the alarm and reset the security system.

SOURCE: Car makes a low pitch sound starting at 30mph

Check for uneven tire wear, make sure the wheels are properly balanced, check for proper tire inflation.
Low pitched noise that increases with speed is related to tires, wheel bearings, etc. Start with the easy and cheap remedies first... tire inflation, wear etc.

TCC Solenoid

In the valve body of the transmission, This can be check by its PWM (pulse width modulation) The wire connection is a seven pin connector at upper front of trans case. What you are describing does not seem to be a TCC problem. The TCC comes on at above 50 MPH. Drive at above 50 MPH step on the brake pedal not to stop the vehicle, just slightly,.enough to turn off the TCC. See if it make a difference then do it going toward 30MPH.

My Buick Rivera when turning left I heard a large popping noise under the front of the car?

A large noise made during turns could be a bad CV joint. They are what the car uses to connect the wheels to the engine.

A local mechanic can check your CV joints protective coverings or "boots". These boots can be torn and the grease that keeps the joints quiet may have leaked out of one or both of them.

You can look yourself at the outermost boots and see if one of them is all greasy and dirty. A good sign it has leaked.

I hope this helps. Good luck and be careful.
