Hi,
Take the heater hoses off the heater core at the firewall and join them together with a barbed fitting and a couple of hose clamps. That will do it...Mike

SOURCE: 1992 Cadillac deville heater bypass

the easiest way to by-pass the heater core is to take off both hoses at the fire wall and use a piece of hard tubing to insert in both hoses and use hose clamps it's quick and easy and should get you by. make sure you top off the coolant and do this with engine cold.

SOURCE: how to bypass heater core on a 1995 isuzu

you need to remove the two hoses going into the firewall and plug them. They sell plugs and hose clamps at the parts house. Measure the hose size which is either going to be a 1/2' or 5/8" or 3/4"

I need heater hoses diagram for 93 Isuzu amigo 2.3. My system was bypassed & I need help

People rarely bypass the heater core unless it's either cracked or clogged beyond fixing!

Heater cores are usually behind the dashboard and it's about an 6_10 hour job if you know what you're doing.
Mechanics charge around $750 to $1200 to replace a heater core.

It sounds like a heater core problem. Do you smell antifreeze?? You can bypass the heater core for summer use but will need it repaired for winter heat. Hope this helps. Koladge

Am coming out of summer going n2 fall..when turnin air from ac to heat it still blows cold...plz help....

Take the hoses off of the heater core (firewall) and flush the clogged little "radiator" inside your cab. You may need to pour radiator flush fluid directly into it since the Merc. has bypass WYE pipes that do not direct the flow through the heater core if it becomes blocked. The hose clamps are a bugger to get to as Ford never expected anyone to have to WORK on the car when they assembled it at the factory. Avoid damaging the sensors at the top of the intake (DPFE).

Why bypass the heater core? whats the out ***

there are pretty much two reasons someone would bypass the core 1. it is leaking and for some reason they don't want to or can't change it now. or
2. there is a heater control that can't be easily reached that is causing hot air to blow into the cabin in the summer. (there are other ways of fixing that though).
Either way, in bypassing it, the flow in the cooling system is not interrupted and it does not cause any damage to the engine. (where blocking it possibly could, even though that's unlikely)

No heat in 2000 chevy lazer just replaced thermostat

I own a 200 Chevrolet Blazer and I have it for over 4 years mine does the same thing I actually just noticed my heat getting less. My husband found the best way to fix it and the cheapest way to fix it. He takes the tube off the heater and attaches a water hose to it and flushes out the gunk whatever is blocking the hose and after he does that the heat works great. No cost and if I wanted to I could do it because its so easy. My husband did some searching on the internet and a person that this happens all the time to let me husband know. If you need more info let me know I can ask my husband he isn't home at the moment I so I don't have exact details. Thanks Amy

Where are the heater core hook ups

The heater core is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. If this has been bypass the core is surely leaking. The heater core pipes should be visible from un der the hood, passenger side of vehicle towards the firewall. keep me posted, and keep an eye on that heater core, there is reason for the prior owner not to have heat.
