I have a 95 ford E-350 desiel engine brand new starter and battery, alternator is good fuel and fluids are okay. when i try to start it wont turn over what do I do? need help now please.

yes It makes a clicking noise but somtimes trys to start but wont turn over ..what is the tran neutral switch where do I find it?

does the starter make any noise?

could the trans neutral switch be bad?

can you jump the relay and make the starter turnover

If you heart a clicking sound from the solonnoid you netural safty switch is ok. i would take off the starter and take it in to have tested

try and turn engine by hand to make it is not seized .if ok it may have a bad electoral connection either from battery to starter or from battery to engine earth, voltage drop can be checked with a volt meter.

Have 2006 f350 desiel. driving home and check engine light came on. Went out next morning and truck wont start.

Fuel pressure good battery is good make sure the positive part of the batery post has good connection, a good indication of hard to start is glowplug relay you should hear the clicking of that relay when you turn the key on. The FICA has alot of problems with no start and so does the ICP. You need the scan tool data stream to track this down for a no start.

you have a gas leak somewhere in line or your fuel filter is plugged

I have a 2000 f-350 power stroke that i can't start for nothing? i has new glow plugs, new relay for glow plus,new starter and new fuses also. if someone has any idea's please let me know. thanks, steve

The powerstroke engine has an oil pressure/fuel shutoff switch that sometimes fails. The engine can't get any fuel if the pressure switch isn't made. This can be intermittent or it can just quit all at once. You can look at www.ford-trucks.com and search the forums to see if anyone there knows any more specifics about location or how to test/change it.

Diesel engines are more prone to this problem, chek the seals on the guel fill neck to make sure there not leaking water in to the tank, other then that try adding an additive such as MDR Desiel warter zorb, its like $18.00 and see if that mitigates the problem. Fuel filter is recomended to be changed I belive every 70,000 miles on the Desiels.

yup a new set of glow plugs its what fires over a desiel engine.similar to spark plugs to a gas engine. the glow plugs get weak and arnt hot enough to fire the fuel. hope that helps

One on the drivers side frame by the fuel pump. And one on top of the middle of the engine.
