see if the noise is coming from the a/c clutch area it could be going out their are also belt pulleys and tensioners on this system and when a load is on them could be making a noise
It may be your heater core going out, but I would check all my fuses to make sure they weren't any of them bad before I started checking anything else. Hope this information is helpful to you.
