I'm not sure how you know the weatherstrip isn't leaking,here's what i would do.With a trusted helper,get in the trunk and latch it.Have the helper spray the entire trunk area with a garden hose while you watch for any water leaks.That's the best way to check the weatherstrip for leaks,and it is likely that's where the leak is coming from.
This is a common problem with Sentras.
The garden hose test won't work because you most likely have seeping leaks around your taillight assemblies. (Been there, done that.) The leaks are too small and too slow to notice with a garden hose, but they will fill up your spare tire well nicely in an overnight drizzle.
Get a couple of tubes of your favorite color of silicone sealant and neatly seal all around the lenses from the outside.
