Open up the door and remove the black plastic trim piece that runs on the inside of the door. IT runs from the triangle piece where the mirror is up and over the window. From there, you will see a single nut. This holds the mirror in place. Undo and the mirror is now free. If I remember right, you can access the plug for the mirror at this point too. If not, you will need to remove the door panel (2 screws on the bottom, 1 screw inside the pocket near where your elbow would be if you were sitting in the car). From there, pull straight out towards you on the edges and the door panel comes off.

SOURCE: remove rear door panel on x type jaguar

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

SOURCE: how to remove the front dorr panel on s type

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and mirror. Then you can access the bolts securing mirror onto the door

SOURCE: S Type JAguar Rear Door

First remove all of the screws, some will be hidden under plastic caps, then take a door panel tool (about $5.00 at a parts store) and work it around the panel popping out the plastic keepers. Be carefull and try not to damage the panel where the keepers attach, you can buy new keepers at any auto part store and even Lowe's and Home Depot carry them.

Hi, my jaguar 2003 s type brings in the wing mirror on passenger side when I lock the doors. I then have to adjust it back out every time. This is a new problem, any help appreciated Don

the mirrors normally fold in when you lock the car by default unless you change the settings. sounds like the passenger mirror has siezed up common problem. remove the mirror cover and try and free off the piviot using wd40 or similar and work it back and forth with the switch and manually then both should work in unison then change the settings in the touch screen if you have one? or read you manual for your varient otherwise thats how it was programmed need to change the settings by going to someone with suitable equipment

How to replace glass in wing mirror jaguar s type

The easiest way is to buy a pattern mirror lens and stick it over the broken glass, these lenses are available on-line or at some parts shops. The harder way is to remove the mirror cover and strip the mechanism out and refit to base bracket

Replace drivers side outside mirror 01 S type

If you're lucky, on the inside of the door, will be a triangular panel right behind the mirror that you can pop off. If you're not as lucky and it's one piece or the panel is blocked by the door panel, you'll need to remove the door panel to change it.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door
