2002 lincoln ls heater dont work in winter and ac dont work. i took it to a local shop they check all pressure switches, ac compressor is fully charged , all fuses, relay all are good. I thought maybe it was the Climate control panel so i got another at the salvage yard. I Have no codes coming up when i do the self test. Also unplug wire to compressor their is no power to the compressor. Im so lost now can somone help ME Please:

    does the blower work? Also, these are known for having issues with the blend doors, (arm breaks) so if the blower works I'd look there-as for no power to the compressor, these have a module that acts as a relay (usually referred to as a vcrm, variable control relay module) that may be defective-does your radiator fan work? does the compressor clutch engage, it sounds like it should because how could a shop check pressure if it didn't-you need to give better information for help...

The PCM - powertrain control module energizes the A/C clutch relay . Don't know what this other guy's talking about ? No VCRM on your vehicle .Engine computer controls it . PCM . Now if the climate control , heater / A/C is not blowing out of the vent's it's probably the heater blower control module . If you had it to a shop what did they say was wrong ?

YOU COULD HAVE OPEN OR SHORT IN THE BLACK YELLOW WIRE GOING TO AC COMPRESSOR CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH. CHECK FOR A SHORT OR OPEN IN RED YELLOW WIRES AT THE AC PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH. USE VOLT METER AND CHECK FOR VOLTAGE AT BOTH SWITCHES. PROBLEM COULD BE IN THE EATC MODULE THAT SEND POWER TO PURPLE WIRE THAT FEEDS THE AC PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH AND AC CLUTCH CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH THEN FEEDS THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH SOLENOID.

My 04 Altima 2.5S AC compressor wont engage, I took it to an AC shop and he told me he checked the pressure and everything is ok... no leaks. the compressor is not getting any power as well as the radiator...
You would need a shop manual for the wiring diagram for the ac to troubleshoot it.
There is a low pressure switch and a relay involved that could prevent the clutch from getting power. The radiator fan runs when the ac is running and high pressure is above 200 psi.

Hello
Based on what you have said and my 30 years a Ford dealer tech I believe you have a slightly low AC system refrigerant charge due to a small leak at the AC compressor or the AC line connections. I would have a shop hook up a set of gauges to monitor the pressures at idle and see just how low it is. DO NOT ADD UNTIL YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IS NEEDED, YOU CAN LOCK UP THE COMPRESSOR.

Your AC mechanic is a know nada POS. Your AC is not working because the clutch is not being properly energized so as to turn the compressor which as you indicated is working and fully charged. Either the climate control head you just got is no good, ditto for the low pressure cut off switch, thermostat.. Best thing to do is get a hold of someone who has the AC schematic and can check out all of the electrical components in the way of getting power to the clutch!

Looking for low pressure ac connection
The low pressure side of the ac unit is the big aluminum pipe coming from the compressor, it usually goes back along the fire wall to the passenger side of the car, it has a small cap with an "L" on it, It is the only place that the filler will fit. Check it out , Hope this helps.

Blowing hot air
This could be due to several possible reasons. Check the following items one by one.

1. Check the respective fuses
2. Check when you switch on the AC, comperssor solinoid vale is engaging or not.
3. Check the refriegrant gas for required pressure & qty.
4. Check due to heater switch malfunctioning the heater may be contineuosly in ON mode.

Is there enough freon in the system? There are pressure switches in the AC lines that operate the compressor when there is enough freon.Also see if there is a relay under the hood for the ac. Remove the wire at the compressor test with test light for power. If there is power check ground.

sounds like your pressures were to high replace your compressor 2 to 350.00$ new dryer 80.00$ high pressure switch 40.00$ flush all lines and coils vacume and recharge self 500.00$. A shop 9 to 11 hundred probubly have your system checked yearly because AC pressuers fluctuate from season to season and if you dont need your AC in the winter Pull that fuse cause in defrost mode your AC is on.

its probably the compressor cutoff switch cutting your compressor off at the wrong time and causing your ac to blow hot. that switch is under your hood right on top of the engine easy to get to. I hope that helps you out!
