I have a 2000 chevy malibu (Base) and it over heats. I can drive the car with the heater on and after a long drive it will over heat if stalled. The car had a blown head gasket and i think that might be the problem again. The car does not throw out white smoke or anything. Do you have any idea what it might be? Do you know how much it will cost?"

It could be something as simple as the thermostat , did you happen to have the head surface checked for warp when you replaced the gasket ?

5 fuel pumps and 2 motors? id say that whoever is diagnosing your car needs to be fired. toggle switches, over heating, stalling after 30 mins, new motors....you need to get this to a shop. no way someone can diag this cars serious problems and over internet.

Try flushing the heater core, it may have a restriction caused by scale build up.
