68 Chevy Celebrity dies whenever it feels like it

This V6 with carb starts and runs fine. Sometimes between cold and warm acts like it wants to die. And sometimes it does. Other times it it fully warmed up then acts like you turned the key off. Sometimes it does not want to start. Added Heet, replaced coil, checked ign module. Cap,rotor, wires, plugs appear to be Ok. Any thoughts?

Are you referring to the permanent magnet on the shaft? Can this go bad?

Have you replaced the distributor stator? You say you checked the ignition module, I think you should have replaced it, I would suspect the module over the coil and the rest of the parts you replaced.

No not the magnet, but the coil of wire that it inductes into when it passes, this tells the ignition module to fire the coil. Yes these fail all the time, they are usually ok until they get hot then then go "open"

Car dies when it warms up. just replaced carb, think it has to do with this

Vapor lock again! Make sure the fuel lines are away from hot surfaces, or insulated.
Also, when it warms up, the automatic choke turns off, and the idle setting has to be set to run at that temp. There will be idle jets, maybe two, and idle stop setting for the linkage.

1993 Chevy C1500 4.3L V6 TBI starts but dies at idle after warming up.

Low pressure from fuel pump, when the pump is cold the pressure increases, as it warms up the pressure drops (this happens in a pump that is going out) the normal pressure should be at 40 with the key on and engine not running, when started the pressure should stay around 36, any less it won't idle and may run as long as you hold the pedal down. The injectors are opened electronicaly, so as long as there is fuel flow the engine gets fuel to run.So check the fuel pump, soundslike you need a new one

When my 1972 chevrolet 350 4 barrel is warmed up it acts like its not getting gas and jerks and eventually dies. if i wait a few minutes it will start up but after slight acceleration it starts it aga

Good chance it is not getting fuel, or enough fuel.
When the rig is cold, the choke is closed. As it warms up, the choke opens.
If the metering jets inside the carb are dirty, they may not be letting enough fuel into the barrels. You could also have a vac leak that is masked by the choke until the engine warms up.

89 chevy celebrity 2.5 fourtech and it will start up strong for like 2 or 3 seconds then die. its not outta fuel or it wouldnt hit every time like it does and then die. we had to peel the column because...

Check fuel filter, gummed up carb. (I think that car still had a carb, if injectors, same issue, injectors could be all gummed up from old gas.)

What can happen, is fuel system can deliver or allow enough fuel to accumulate to start up the car, but it can't sustain the fuel delivery to keep the engine running.

Missing out and dies when warm

reach to the underside of your egr valve and feel to see if the diaphragm moves as it warms up. if not you may need to replace it. be careful not to bur yourself though, the engine and egr can get very hot very quickly
