I have a 1990 gmc 3500 that will run only by pouring gas in the carb. It looks like a carb but it has wires and electrical components inside of it. I can here the pump working. I changed the filter. I turned on the key when the filter was out and gas came out of the line but not with much pressure. Is it a fuel pump problem or a carb problem.

It is call a Throttle Body Injection, that is why you see wires and electrical components. You stated that fuel came out of the fuel line with little pressure. It could be that the fuel pump is weak, bad injectors, or fuel pressure regulator. Have the fuel system tested to determine what is the exact cause.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter or air filter...common causes are air filter, or blocked air intake, dirty carb, bad plug, wires, distributer, distributer button, fuel filter, water in gas, old gas,plugged exhaust pipe and last but not least and believe it or not too much dirt under the gas peddle.... and in one case passing cable fell off the carb.
Check for fuel by pouring small amount of clean gas down throttle body and crank engine over. if it starts and runs just for a few seconds you have a fuel delivery problem
This truck is fuel injected, the problem sounds like a weak fuelpump, it runs when you pour gas into it until that gas runs out, the first thing is to test the fuel preasure, if the pump is weak it may run with gas poured into it but wont idle, also a common problem is the coolant temp sensor and the ground wires to thermostat housing bolt but i wont bet its the pump inside the fuel tank, if you put a fuel gauge on it there should be at least 55-61 psi if its a few pounds lower it can cause problems, you have everything else and it runs with gas poured so its a fuel problem check the preasure, theres a valve up top on the fuel line to connect a fuel gauge to it, start there hope this is helpful.
you say you replaced the fuse, but does the fuse have power? the gray wire at pump should have power when cranking, or for 2 seconds when turning key on. At fuel pump relay, put power onto gray wire, the pump should run if the wiring is good. if it doenst run then ck for power at fuse while power is on gray wire.
