Are the connections to your battery firm? it sounds like one may be lose - the clicking sounds you hear are from the starter solenoid and should only click once but if it does it again and your battery terminals are tight im thinking your solenoid on the starter motor may well be on the way out.. hope not for ya but... did you replace your engine speed sensor? If it keeps going you may need to see a reputable mechanic in your area to check it over... lancers are good cars but...

SOURCE: grade of oil

That info would be in his owners manual, I couldn't find it because the car is so new there is little info available. PLEASE tell him NOT to THROW AWAY the manual!!!!! So many people ask questions on this site, and the info is in the original owners manual, but most people seem to toss them out. If u don't want the manual, mail it to me!! Let me know if u can't find the info.

SOURCE: Lancer IPod connect cord

I own a 2007 Eclipse.
You can purchase the cord from the dealership, with the instructions for the I-Pod cord. Not hard to install on the Eclipse, takes about 30 minutes to install. This is the only known place to get this I-Pod connector.

from personal experience alternators can test good when you take them off your vehicle and carry into a parts store. if when the car is running and you take the negative cable off the battery and it dies, than you know the alternator is bad. never remove the positive when running or before the ground post. had an 05 kia serento doing the same thing. replaced alternator and fixed the problem

I have a 2009 mitsubishi lancer that wasn't used

I know this sound trite, but have you checked your fuses (for the locks)? Might have blown something when jumping it.

As for the charging light, its my experience that it usually indicates a problem with the alternator/ voltage regulator (Most voltage regulator are inside the alternator). Especially since you have already replace the battery. If your handy, you can take the altenator off, and goto any big Chain Auto Parts store and they can test it for, before spending the money on a new one.

Also, If it comes down the the BCM (Battery Control Module?), look on line at Car-Parts.com and search for one at a location near you and you will be able to find a surplus BCM from them MUCH CHEAPER than from the dealer. The same could be done for the alternator (but I would recommend just buying a new one from a parts store). Good Luck!!

2008 mitsuibishi lancer es - trying to locate and change my cigarette lighter fuse. Where do I locate it and how do I identify it?

First place to look is the owner's manual. Should be a roadside emergency chapter in it with a list of fuses and usually a schematic to locate it. If worse comes to worse a local AutoZone or Advance Auto store will generally change the fuse for you if you are uncomfortable with the process.
