Fuel not pumping from fuel pump

I recently tried to start my 94 Sundance Duster and it would not start because there is no fuel being pumped from the fuelpump. It is the 5 speed manual 3.0L V6 model. I did end up testing the fuel relay and it did work. Then I tried testing the Fuel pump with direct current from the battery And it blew the fuel in the tank about 3 feet so i know that the pump still does work. But when i turn the key it wont pump the fuel. Please help, any ideas?

Where is the fuel pump fuse on a 94 plymouth sundance

I would not think a fuse would be the problem. A fuse either blows or it is good. The relay might be at fault, but I would think it is the pump going bad.

91 plymouth sundance died, oil on ground, check engine on

If you feel like the engine is still ok, I would look at the oil pressure and check engine light issues.
On engines with fuel injection, the fuel pump is powered by the pump relay until the engine starts. Then the engine has to have oil pressure to keep the fuel pump powered.
Its a safety feature so if you are in a wreck the fuel pump does not keep running if the engine is off.
I would want to know why the oil pressure light is staying on and what the trouble codes are in the computer.

Need to know where fuel pump relay is 94 sundance

There are three small relays together on the driver side fender. The front relay is the ASD relay, the center is for the air cond, and the third is for the fuel pump.
Be sure and test the ASD relay since it powers several components including the injectors.

any time you replace the fuel pump you MUST replace the fuel filter. Sounds like it could be a couple of different things. Pick up coil if it has a distributor. bad coil pack. Replace fuel filter first .Good Luck!!!!

I have a 1993 Plymouth Sundance Duster. Over the past three weeks it has been running fine and just dies. I replaced the spark plug wires and the coil and now it idles and runs fine until I put it into 4th...

Have fuel pressure tested, or at the least, change fuel filter. Fuel pump may be on it's way out but it only takes 5 minutes to test the fuel pressure to confirm.
