With a scantool in datastream you can see if your input and out put speed sensors are working if so sounds like a shift solinoid is not working that to is visable in fatasteam on a roadtest

SOURCE: engine noise

Sounds like a problem with the power valve actuator in the intake manifold collector. I would check with a Nissan dealer first and inquire of any recalls or service bulletins. Might save ya time & money.

do not flush the trans, that will make it worse.
My friend you have no second gear, you need trans rebuilt.
If you flush it now you can cause more damage.

how it sounds that the solenoids are going bad i would take it back to the shop were you had it rebuilt and have them redo it most shops give a one year warranty on the rebuilds if so they should be able to fix it for free.

Trans sticks in 2nd gear

"...he had to put hi foot on the gas pedal several times..." I do not understand what this means, but does it still fine? If it is then you likely had a stuck shift valve, but why is the valve stuck? Is the valve body contaminated as a result of the trans "coming apart". If it is still not shifting out of second gear then you may have a 3-4 clutch problem, which is a very common failure and requires overhaul to correct it.

90 ford bronco lost 3rd gear

There's only two real solutions here. One is replacing the control module in transmission inside of pan bolted to valve body. Pretty straight forward and easy to replace once trans pan is off and filter removed. Second is the trans mission needs to be rebuilt. If the gear 3 is gone the expect trans rebuild

2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo hesitates in 2nd gear when cold

Is it manual or auto trans? If manual the gear lube is thicker when cold and the syncronizers tend to stick and not slide free for grind free shifting or for locking into gear.
If Auto trans if the jeep is warmed up setting then cycle the gears before driving. If that helps then the fluid is not getting through the valve body properly. It could be metal in the body or filter or cold seals are letting fluid by til the seals warm, expand and hold pressure. I'm assuming trans fluid is good, not old. One item that can lead to poor cold shift in an auto trans is a bad torque convertor. Since it seems to be a second gear issue the second section of the trans could have a bad seal. In an auto trans I'd take to a shop and have a cold pressure test done. They will tell which one is the problem.

1994 F350 transmission intermittent problem

I had the same problem in my 96 f-350. The transmission has slipped recording a slip code in the transmission. You can pull the codes and get it. I shifts into a safe mode that increases the pressure inside your transmission as part od a fail safe. Plain and simple, you have to have the tranny rebuilt.
