Have you checked your ignition relay? Also check the ground for proper grounding. If the ground is not correct then you will not start. You can also try running extra ground wire from the starter to the frame of the vehicle sometimes that will also cure the issue. I would check the fuse and relay first before anything else though.

Unplug the battery and try a reset. If you have a scan tool you can reset it then. If nothing is working and it is giving that code, then you have to replace the ECM. A no start and you have checked everything that I have recommended its a problem internally with the ECM. The are some computer guys out there that can solder those things and get them to work temporarly. If you are really at a loss though I would recommend calling in a Mobile Mechanic, you can get a ECM for fairly cheap that is already programmed. What was the code?

My 2001 aurora keeps blowing starter fuse!

You probably have a circuit failure somewhere, perhaps a shortout on the powercord somewhere.

Where is the starter relay in 97 oldsmobile aurora

In a '97 model car most of your relays would be in the power distribution box by the battery, but very seldom that is the problem. Truthfully, without a multi-meter and some electrical systems understanding, you would just be looking in the dark. But having checked your battery connections-both cables are snug and tight on a new, fully charged battery? And the new starter had its mounting bolts down tight and, most important, the electrical connections (large battery cable end, and the small starter solenoid wire) all put back in place and tightened down?

Well, if you got it all back together right, turning the key to crank should send voltage to the small wire on the starter solenoid, energizing it and allowing battery voltage to pass to the starter motor and thus crank the engine over. If you have a problem with the starter, that's where you start looking=at the starter. Check if the small wire has power in start position of the ignition switch. Cheery-o's!

99 Aurora. 2nd starter. Car sometimes won't start. Sounds like starter solenoid. When it doesn't start, I turn the key and hear solenoid click. Mechanic claims it's not the starter. This happens about once...

We had the same issue on an 2001 Aurora. I left it for a year before it finally annoyed me enough to fix it. In our case it was the starter. The only difference was we didn't get a click of the solenoid when it happened.
I would guess the starter OR the alignment of the starter. If the starter is not aligned properly, sometimes when the solenoid engages it does not throw the gear out into the flywheel properly.
The "starts with a jump" doesn't make any sense to me. If this is really the case I would look at the battery and connections for an issue. If you do not have enough power to engage the starter properly this could be the issue.

My 2002 Aurora (4.0) makes an audible click when the key is turned, but nothing else. It could be the Starter relay, but I am not sure where that is located. It could also be the starter itself, but since...

The starter relay is located in the PDC (power distribution center) located under the hood with a removable lid (black box). Exactly how old is the battery and what is the battery voltage with the key off? Have you verified the battery connections, because this sounds as if it is a bad or corroded connection at the battery or starter itself. You can still have bright lights, but not enough ampere to get the starter to rotate.

95 Olds. Aurora - Starter clicks, does not turn over..

check the battery...maybe the amp hours is not
sufficient...not original recommended battery....inconsistency in starting...the solenoid is a switch...which may need cleaning....the starter motor may be full of carbon dust....causes a short to earth and pulls battery power on startup....a big neglected area in car maintenance...

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora won't start

if the car sat for two years and was never started.... the motor could very well be seized.... to get at the starter .... is usually done from the bottom. If you can removed the starter... test it to see if it's working.... something else you can try if you can see the starter ... is to tap it gently with a hammer while someone attempts to start it...

Aurora won't turn over

If the security light comes on when you try to start it, you may need to wait three minutes to try to start it again. If the "computer chip" in the ignition key was not making good contact in the steering column when it was inserted. If the "security" light comes on after you initially try to start it, then wait three minutes, and try it again when the light goes off, if this is the problem. It happens occasionally with my piece of ---- Aurora. It may need to have a new key programmed.
