I own one of these gems! Suzuki knows there's a problem but chooses the Toyota method of not accepting responsibility! Very doubtful it's the blower motor- I removed mine and hot wired it to a battery and it ran fine. Fuses are under drivers dash but doubtful they are blown either. The problem lies in the HVAC control unit which is center dash in front of the shifter. It is a unit that controls all the climate functions. (Temp, air position, fan speed). The cheapest I was able to find the part was through Factory Outlet Auto Parts-$535 to my door-much much cheaper than any Suzuki dealership!!!
My fan started running intermittently, sometimes fine and other times sporadically which gave me the idea that the fan was failing.....WRONG! I also smelt a electrical smell toward the end of the blower not working. After testing all the components, the fuses were fine, relay was fine, blower motor was fine. By the process of elimination I determined the root cause!
May be the blower relay ???
