Hello,

Most door sensors these days are being incorporated into the latch/ lock mechanism and have to be changed as a unit. What issues are you having with the doors?

Yup! I just bet you ARE having problems trying to locate the wiring for the crank sensor.

1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic is only equipped with one of two engines:
4.3L (VIN Code "W")
5.3L (VIN Code "P"

Niether
of these engines were equipped with a crankshaft position sensor.

Sounds like a classic blend door problem. They will start to break and exceed the sensor's travel limit, and then the controller will stop trying to move the door. There is also a known problem when the recirc door breaks, but it is less common. For more info, google "Jeep Blend Doors". For a fix, google "Heater Treater".

96 Chev Caprice Classic Interior lights won't shut off.

door pins may be bad, you doors may also be sagging at the hinges causing a bad connection, your lights will dim when you brake because of a draw on the battery, but it sounds like your pin switches are bad

excessive pinging is caused by either bad fuel, or a bad cam position sensor or a crank position sensor.
