Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Try changing your dash fuse. It may be marked as dash cluster. This fuse controls all the lights on the dash. Use your fuse box diagram to find the exact location of the fuse. If you have a question, just let me know.

Why won't 2004 Ford Freestar start, but the dash lights up?

More than likely a key problem. Dont mess with any fuses. A bad keywhen turned wont make any noise. If you have a 2nd key please try that first. If that is your only key consult a locksmith to see if they can program another key. Dont throw away a bad key it may be able to be reused. Good luck.

I have a 2004 freestar brake light in dash stays on while running what may be the trouble?

Check the electrical brake switch at the brake pedal and or hand brake. This could be damaged and not allowing the switch to spring back to the "contact open" position.

Cant read the odometer during daylight hours on my 2004 ford freestar

You have a bulb burned out in your dash, needs a mechanic with the right knowledge to replace it, the are in an intergrated circuit board that runs all lights in the dash.

Freestar 2004 rear brake light won't go off. Bulb

I'm assuming all of the brake lights are on? If so there is a brake light switch located way up under the dash that hits on the arm for your brake pedal. If this is not "closed" when the pedal is up (not depressed), your brake lights will stay on. It is adjustable.
