Vsc vsc off check engine light on 2000 toyota avalon

I went to start my car this morning for church I the ck engine light, VSC OFF, VSC TRAC lights are on. It has happened once before when we go from 70 degree weather to 30 degree weather overnight. What causes this & what is the solution? I had to get towed to the dealership last time & don't remember what the problem was. The only common thing about this occurence was the drastic weather drop. went to drive off selected the drive position heard a clunk sound then went to accelerate and there was nothing ,pulled up and turned ignition off, thyen turned back on and the vsc panel lights stayed on but I had power to the accelerator once more and was able to carry on the journey!!!

Shut engine off, started lights still on, Took it to a local garage to have put it on the computer. They called and said when they started the car- the vsc and check engine light were out. Ran a computer analysis- showed no history of problem. Took it for a test run- engine ran smooth and no lights came back on. The Check Engine light, VSC, & Traction control light hae been staying on in my 2005 Avalon XLS. Took it to the local Toyota dealer who ran a diagnostic test. The test indicated an ignition coil malfunction, but they tested ignition coil and found it to be running fine. Light came back on after leaving the dealer. Now what? This just happened to me for the first time today in my 2000 Avalon. I thought it felt like it was running rough, but after it sat for awhile it was running fine. Then the check engine VSC, and VSC Off lights all came on after driving for about 15-20 miles. I only had about another mile to go to my destination. When I arrived, I turned my car off and back on. The check engine light was the only one illuminated. This just happened to me for the first time today in my 2000 Avalon. no just explain the problems but does not tell you how to fix it. i have lexus it did the same thing to me vsc light went on and i lost all power but the engine still ran .
