1980 vw camper t25 coil electrics

Hi i have a wire that has come of the coil and then i accidently pulled it of the other end. i dont know if it go's to the + or - side of the coil or were the other end go,s. the van dont start so it is somthing to do with the ignition. can any one help with a wiring solution/diagram.

Failing that, a junkyard like "pick n pull" or similar is a very good source for items like this.

Where do you top up clutch fluid on a 1986 vw t25

you have to lift the plastic casing of your instrument panel (speedometer/clock). The brake and clutchfluid container is right behind it. Use both of your hands and grab casing at windscreen side and then gently pull towards you. Good luck

Vw camper T2 bay ignition problem

Please re-post your question as it sounds like you are talking about the later vanagon and not the bay-window type 2 since the bay-window units did not have fancy idle control and stabilizer units.

If it is really a 1986 the spec is 5 degrees before top dead center at idle.
Much better (and easier) to set at 35 degrees BTDC at 3000 rpm.

You can pick up a Haynes manual. These have very good diagrams in them for all the car's systems.

The temperature guage sensor is located on the thermostat housing. I would start simple and check the wiring. clean the connectors.
