You can try to reset it by disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes. the encoder motor on the transfer case is the most common problem. The trouble codes really need to be pulled from the 4x4 module to make sure your not replacing the wrong part. If you post the codes we can go from there. I don't know if auto zone is capable of pulling those codes or not. You might have to take it to a real garage.

I can't find anything on a F-350 crew cab, from 1985. According to www.Edmunds.com there is no such animal. The F-350 crew cab only goes to 1990. It could be an issue of the website not going back that far, too.

That means you have a failure somewhere in the system (Powertrain, Chassis, Body, Network). Just because the engine was serviced doesn't mean anything. You need to have the diagnostic codes pulled to determine what is causing the light to be triggered. Then correct the problem and the light will go out. If you just erase the light or code it wont solve anything.

Wont start. starter doesnt click or anything. battery was tested and is fine. all interior lights turn on with ignition switch.
sound like the starter solenoid has **** itself, also check the wire power wire conections from the battery to the starter, they may be corroded or loose

Ford F350 Crew Cab Power Window Problem
Did you check for power at the switches. Are you sure the fuses are ok. Sometimes the wires break because of opening the door. You will have to inspect the harness and maybe have to remove the door panel. Most likely its a driver door wiring issue or the fuse.

Trailer tail lights
I have this same problem with my truck. The U haul guys and I tried and tested every scenario, leaving out hard wiring behind the plug (where the adapter goes). I haven't tried it as I don't ever pull anything, however it can't to too hard to do.
