Crank position sensor location

It is located under the dash left side above the parking brake ! There are four wiring connectors to it !

Well if it's the 3.5 SFI engine, it's on the timing chain cover,toward the top of the engine, held in by one 10mm bolt. If you have the 3.8L it's built into the ignition module. The crank sensor is a pain in the **** on the 3.8. That's located above the oilpan, toward the rear of the car, in between the transaxle & engine,also held in by one 10mm bolt. its on the top of the motor in the front by the cam shafts.

The crank sensor is located below the front exhaust manifold and above the starter. To access it, you must lift the front of the vehicle, and remove the starter. Once the starter is removed the sensor is visible. Because of the poor location and poor GM engineering these sensors fail. You have excessive heat from the exhaust and oil leaking from the valve covers that short them out. Also once the sensor is replaced, it must undergo a re-learn process. Unfortunately this process can only be performed by a GM dealer via their computer system.....if you need further assistance, feel free to post them on FYa...hopefully this helps!!

It is on the front of the motor under the manifold, you have to remove the starter first then it is right there on the block. make sure you diconect the battery befor removeing starter

Hello suewagner.
The crank sensor is mounted above the starter motor on the firewall side of the engine. The sensor picks up the signal direct off of the crankshaft through a machined hole in the engine block.
I have removed them without dropping the starter but learned that in most cases it is easier to drop the starter down to access it.

Should be located around 11:00 on front of engine at crank pully.

first thing i would do is replace your fuel filter.
with a fuel filter restriction it take longer to provide enough fuel pressure to fire.
that would be the most common but there are also may other things that could have happened but would need more information to do a process of elimination
